Academia Remigum is a small leisure and sports centre in a calm location near the Galves Lake in Trakai, close to the famous Trakai Castle. The centre comprises a hotel, a restaurant and a sports club (for rowing). The Academia Remigum hotel is reminiscent of a traditional English rowing club, with oars and boat elements on the walls. Old books on rowing, trophies, cups, and other museum exhibits are displayed in a glass showcase. A bookcase contains modern-day books on rowing that guests can look through. The Academia Remigum, whose Latin name means “school of rowers”, has cosy double and triple rooms. It is a place where you can rest, enjoy sporting events, spend your time in a relaxing manner, and - you can learn how to row.
